Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Valérie Trierweiler, 60, and her partner had split up. Is the former French First lady really single again?

Trierweiler spotted alone

A fan spotted Valérie Trierweiler walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of April 6, 2025. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Valérie back on the market?

A rep for Valérie Trierweiler was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the journalist - known for having been romantically involved with François Hollande - was splitting hit the internet Monday (April 7), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
