Carlton created a stir on Sunday when rumors have surfaced that her career was over.

Sad news for Carlton fans. Speculation had been rife that the American singer best known for her hit song A Thousand Miles, is about to announce her retirement from music, at age 45, with immediate effect.

Other reports hinted that she may branch out into other creative fields she is better at (and more interested in), though they didn't provide any details.
