It has been exactly 6 long years since Venantino Venantini died in Viterbo on October 9, 2018 at the age of 88. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed actors of his generation.

Venantini, a cultural icon
Born Enrico Venantino Venantini in Fabriano on April 17, 1930, his career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in Italian history. Venantini was not just a great actor, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.
In 2008 he touched the hearts of millions as Joe in ‘I Always Wanted to Be a Gangster’. His legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering his unique heritage.
