It has been exactly 7 long years since Victor Lanoux died in Royan on May 4, 2017 at the age of 80. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed actors of his generation.

Lanoux, a cultural icon
Born Victor Robert Nataf in Paris on June 18, 1936, his career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in French history. Lanoux was not just a great actor, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.
In 1998 he touched the hearts of millions as Louis Roman in ‘Louis la Brocante’. His legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering his unique heritage.
