Is the 85-year-old fashion designer officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Vivienne Westwood, 85, and her partner had split up. Is the British fashion designer really single again?

Westwood spotted alone

A fan spotted Vivienne Westwood walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of May 17, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Vivienne back on the market?

A rep for Vivienne Westwood was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the fashion designer was splitting hit the internet Monday (May 18), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
