Break-Up Rumors, Is Yemi Alade Single Again?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Yemi Alade, 37, and her partner had split up. Is the singer best known for her album Mama Africa really single again?

Alade spotted alone

A fan spotted Yemi Alade walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of April 7, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Yemi back on the market?

A rep for Yemi Alade was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the singer was splitting hit the internet Wednesday (April 8), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
