It has been exactly 4 long years since Yves Rénier died in Neuilly-sur-Seine on April 24, 2021 at the age of 78. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed actors of his generation.

Today, fans of Yves Rénier (Commissaire Moulin, ...) along with the rest of the film industry have been remembering the iconic man he was.

Rénier, a cultural icon

Born in Bern on September 29, 1942, Yves Rénier's career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in French history. Rénier was not just a great actor, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.

In 1976 he touched the hearts of millions as Police Commissioner Moulin in ‘Commissaire Moulin’. His legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering his unique heritage.
