Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Zhang Ziyi, 47, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for her roles in Memoirs of a Geisha, House of Flying Daggers or Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon really single again?

Ziyi spotted alone

A fan spotted Zhang Ziyi walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of February 20, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Zhang back on the market?

A rep for Zhang Ziyi was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the actress was splitting hit the internet Saturday (February 21), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
