It has been exactly 7 long years since Zsa Zsa Gábor died in Los Angeles on December 18, 2016 at the age of 99. As a number of online tributes attest, she was one of the most acclaimed actresses of her generation.
Today, fans of Zsa Zsa Gábor (Lili, Moulin Rouge, ...) along with the rest of the film industry have been remembering the iconic woman she was.
Gábor, a cultural icon
Born Sári Gábor in Budapest on February 6, 1917, her career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in American history. Gábor was not just a great actress, she was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.
In 1952 she touched the hearts of millions as Jane Avril in ‘Moulin Rouge’. Her legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering her unique heritage.
It's been 7 years since the tragic loss of Zsa Zsa Gábor and her personality still resonate strongly within us all. Although Zsa Zsa Gábor is no longer physically here, her presence is more powerful than ever. She left a void that has yet to be filled.
