Remembering Anémone, 4 Years Later

It has been exactly 4 long years since Anémone died in Poitiers on April 30, 2019 at the age of 68. As a number of online tributes attest, she was one of the most acclaimed actresses of her generation.

Today, fans of Anémone (The Grand Highway, Santa Claus is a bastard, Ma femme s'appelle reviens, ...) along with the rest of the film industry have been remembering the iconic woman she was.

Anémone, a cultural icon

Born Anne Bourguignon in Paris on August 9, 1950, her career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in French history. Anémone was not just a great actress, she was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.

In 1982 she touched the hearts of millions as Thérèse in ‘Santa Claus is a bastard’. Her legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering her unique heritage.

It's been 4 years since the tragic loss of Anémone and her personality still resonate strongly within us all. Although Anémone is no longer physically here, her presence is more powerful than ever. She left a void that has yet to be filled.
