Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Anne Hathaway, 43, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for her roles in Les Misérables, The Devil Wears Prada or The Princess Diaries really single again?

Hathaway spotted alone

A fan spotted Anne Hathaway walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of December 23, 2025. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Anne back on the market?

A rep for Anne Hathaway was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the actress was splitting hit the internet Wednesday (December 24), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
