It has been exactly 57 long years since El Che Che Guevara died in La Higuera on October 9, 1967 at the age of 39. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed revolutionaries of his generation.

Today, fans of Che Guevara along with the rest of the world have been remembering the iconic man he was.

Guevara, a cultural icon

Born Ernesto Rafael Guevara de la Serna in Rosario de Santa Fe on June 14, 1928, his career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in Argentine history. Guevara was not just a great revolutionary, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.

His legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering his unique heritage.
