It has been exactly 9 long years since Christopher Lee died in London on June 7, 2015 at the age of 93. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed actors of his generation.
Today, fans of Christopher Lee (The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, Count Dracula, ...) along with the rest of the film industry have been remembering the iconic man he was.
Lee, a cultural icon
Born in London on May 27, 1922, Christopher Lee's career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in British history. Lee was not just a great actor, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.
In 2001 he touched the hearts of millions as Saruman in ‘The Lord of the Rings’. His legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering his unique heritage.
It's been 9 years since the tragic loss of Christopher Lee and his personality still resonate strongly within us all. Although Christopher Lee is no longer physically here, his presence is more powerful than ever. He left a void that has yet to be filled.
