Remembering Claude Sarraute, 2 Years Later

It has been exactly 2 long years since Claude Sarraute died in Paris on June 20, 2023 at the age of 95. As a number of online tributes attest, she was one of the most acclaimed journalists of her generation.

Today, fans of Claude Sarraute (Les Grosses Têtes, On va s'gêner, ...) along with the rest of the world have been remembering the iconic woman she was.

Sarraute, a cultural icon

Born in Paris on July 24, 1927, Claude Sarraute's career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in French history. Sarraute was not just a great journalist, she was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.

Her legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering her unique heritage.

It's been 2 years since the tragic loss of Claude Sarraute and her personality still resonate strongly within us all. Although Claude Sarraute is no longer physically here, her presence is more powerful than ever. She left a void that has yet to be filled.
