It has been exactly 11 long years since Cory Monteith died in Vancouver on July 13, 2013 at the age of 31. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed actors of his generation.

Born Cory Allan Michael Monteith in Calgary on May 11, 1982, his career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in Canadian history. Monteith was not just a great actor, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.
