Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Daniel Lavoie, 77, and his partner had split up. Is the singer best known for his work in the musical The Hunchback of Notre Dame really single again?

Lavoie spotted alone

A fan spotted Daniel Lavoie walking alone, probably coming back from picking up his mail at the end of his several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of August 27, 2026. Was he all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “He was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Daniel back on the market?

A rep for Daniel Lavoie was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the singer was splitting hit the internet Friday (August 28), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
