It has been exactly 30 long years since Dinah Shore died in Beverly Hills on February 24, 1994 at the age of 77. As a number of online tributes attest, she was one of the most acclaimed singers of her generation.

Today, fans of Dinah Shore (Buttons and Bows, I'll Walk Alone, ...) along with the rest of the music world have been remembering the iconic woman she was.

Shore, a cultural icon

Born Frances Rose Shore in Winchester on February 26, 1916, her career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in American history. Shore was not just a great singer, she was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.

In 1947 she touched the hearts of millions with ‘Buttons and Bows’. Her legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering her unique musical heritage.

It's been 30 years since the tragic loss of Dinah Shore and her personality still resonate strongly within us all. Although Dinah Shore is no longer physically here, her presence is more powerful than ever. She left a void that has yet to be filled.
