Remembering Ennio Morricone, 3 Years Later

It has been exactly 3 long years since Ennio Morricone died in Selcetta on July 6, 2020 at the age of 91. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed composers of his generation.

Today, fans of Ennio Morricone (The Untouchables, Once Upon a Time in America, A Fistful of Dollars, ...) along with the rest of the music world have been remembering the iconic man he was.

Morricone, a cultural icon

Born in Rome on November 10, 1928, Ennio Morricone's career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in Italian history. Morricone was not just a great composer, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.

His legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering his unique musical heritage.

It's been 3 years since the tragic loss of Ennio Morricone and his personality still resonate strongly within us all. Although Ennio Morricone is no longer physically here, his presence is more powerful than ever. He left a void that has yet to be filled.
