Is the ABBA ex-lead singer officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that ABBA ex-lead singer Frida Lyngstad, 80, and her partner had split up. Is the Norvegian singer really single again?

Lyngstad spotted alone

A fan spotted Frida Lyngstad walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of December 23, 2025. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Frida back on the market?

A rep for Frida Lyngstad was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the singer was splitting hit the internet Wednesday (December 24), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
