Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Gaby Hoffmann, 44, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for her roles in Crystal Fairy & the Magical Cactus or Transparent really single again?

Hoffmann spotted alone

A fan spotted Gaby Hoffmann walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 9, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Gaby back on the market?

A rep for Gaby Hoffmann was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the actress was splitting hit the internet Saturday (January 10), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
