Is the 44-year-old singer officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Jennifer Hudson, 44, and her partner had split up. Is the singer best known for her role in Black Nativity and best known for hit songs like Where You At, Spotlight or And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going really single again?

Hudson spotted alone

A fan spotted Jennifer Hudson walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of May 14, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Jennifer back on the market?

A rep for Jennifer Hudson was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the singer was splitting hit the internet Friday (May 15), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
