Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Katie Holmes, 47, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for her roles in Batman Begins or Dawson's Creek really single again?

Holmes spotted alone

A fan spotted Katie Holmes walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of October 19, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Katie back on the market?

A rep for Katie Holmes was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the actress - known for having been romantically involved with Chris Klein, Joshua Jackson or Tom Cruise - was splitting hit the internet Tuesday (October 20), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
