Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Maria Kirilenko, 38, and her partner had split up. Is the Russian tennis player really single again?

Kirilenko spotted alone
A fan spotted Maria Kirilenko walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 9, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”
Is Maria back on the market?
A rep for Maria Kirilenko was not immediately available for comment.
Truth or rumor, when news that the tennis player was splitting hit the internet Saturday (January 10), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
