Remembering Marie-France Pisier, 13 Years Later

It has been exactly 13 long years since Marie-France Pisier died in Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer on April 24, 2011 at the age of 66. As a number of online tributes attest, she was one of the most acclaimed actresses of her generation.

Today, fans of Marie-France Pisier (Ace of Aces, Antoine and Colette, ...) along with the rest of the film industry have been remembering the iconic woman she was.

Pisier, a cultural icon

Born in Đà Lạt on May 10, 1944, Marie-France Pisier's career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in French history. Pisier was not just a great actress, she was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.

In 1962 she touched the hearts of millions as Colette in ‘Antoine and Colette’. Her legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering her unique heritage.

It's been 13 years since the tragic loss of Marie-France Pisier and her personality still resonate strongly within us all. Although Marie-France Pisier is no longer physically here, her presence is more powerful than ever. She left a void that has yet to be filled.
