Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Marie-Laure Augry, 79, and her partner had split up. Is the former French noon news anchor really single again?

Augry spotted alone

A fan spotted Marie-Laure Augry walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of March 16, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Marie-Laure back on the market?

A rep for Marie-Laure Augry was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the journalist was splitting hit the internet Tuesday (March 17), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
