Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Pat Benatar, 73, and her partner had split up. Is the singer best known for hit songs like Love Is a Battlefield or Hit Me with Your Best Shot really single again?

Benatar spotted alone

A fan spotted Pat Benatar walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of April 25, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Pat back on the market?

A rep for Pat Benatar was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the singer was splitting hit the internet Sunday (April 26), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
