Pierre Cardin died in Neuilly-sur-Seine on December 29, 2020 at the age of 98. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed fashion designers of his generation.

Born in San Biagio di Callalta on July 2, 1922, Pierre Cardin's career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in French history. Cardin was not just a great fashion designer, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.
His legacy will continue to grow as new generations of fans are discovering his unique heritage.
Although Pierre Cardin is no longer physically here, his presence is more powerful than ever. He left a void that has yet to be filled.
