Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Princess Charlene of Monaco, 47, and her partner had split up. Is the Monégasque princess really single again?

Princess Charlene of Monaco spotted alone

A fan spotted Princess Charlene of Monaco walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 9, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Charlene back on the market?

A rep for Princess Charlene of Monaco was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the princess was splitting hit the internet Saturday (January 10), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
