Is the 41-year-old princess officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Princess Sofia of Sweden, 41, and her partner had split up. Is the Swedish princess really single again?

Hellqvist spotted alone

A fan spotted Princess Sofia of Sweden walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of May 27, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Sofia back on the market?

A rep for Princess Sofia of Sweden was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the princess was splitting hit the internet Thursday (May 28), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
