It has been exactly 6 long years since Robin Williams died in Paradise Cay on August 11, 2014 at the age of 63. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed actors of his generation.

Today, fans of Robin Williams (Mrs. Doubtfire, Dead Poets Society, Good Morning, Vietnam, ...) along with the rest of the film industry have been remembering the iconic man he was.

Williams, a cultural icon

Born in Chicago on July 21, 1951, Robin Williams' career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in American history. Williams was not just a great actor, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.

In 1987 he touched the hearts of millions as Adrian Cronauer in ‘Good Morning, Vietnam’. His legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering his unique heritage.
