It has been exactly 10 long years since Shirley Temple died on February 10, 2014 at the age of 85. As a number of online tributes attest, she was one of the most acclaimed actresses of her generation.

Temple, a cultural icon
Born in Santa Monica on April 23, 1928, Shirley Temple's career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in American history. Temple was not just a great actress, she was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.
In 1939 she touched the hearts of millions as Sara Crewe in ‘The Little Princess’. Her legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering her unique heritage.
