It has been exactly 25 long years since Stanley Kubrick died in Harpenden on March 7, 1999 at the age of 70. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed directors of his generation.
Today, fans of Stanley Kubrick (Full Metal Jacket, Barry Lyndon, A Clockwork Orange, ...) along with the rest of the film industry have been remembering the iconic man he was.

Born in New York on July 26, 1928, Stanley Kubrick's career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in American history. Kubrick was not just a great director, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.
His legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering his unique heritage.
