It has been exactly 12 long years since Tsilla Chelton died in Brussels on July 15, 2012 at the age of 94. As a number of online tributes attest, she was one of the most acclaimed actresses of her generation.

Born in Jerusalem on June 21, 1918, Tsilla Chelton's career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in French history. Chelton was not just a great actress, she was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.
In 1990 she touched the hearts of millions as Danielle Billard in ‘Auntie Danielle’. Her legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering her unique heritage.
