Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Eugenia Martínez de Irujo, 57, and her partner had split up. Is the Duchess of Montoro really single again?

Martínez de Irujo spotted alone

A fan spotted Eugenia Martínez de Irujo walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of April 6, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Eugenia back on the market?

A rep for Eugenia Martínez de Irujo was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the princess was splitting hit the internet Tuesday (April 7), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
