Micheline Presle died in Nogent-sur-Marne on February 21, 2024 at the age of 101. As a number of online tributes attest, she was one of the most acclaimed actresses of her generation.

Born in Paris on August 22, 1922, Micheline Presle's career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in French history. Presle was not just a great actress, she was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.
In 1970 she touched the hearts of millions as the Red Queen in ‘Once Upon a Time’. Her legacy will continue to grow as new generations of fans are discovering her unique heritage.
Although Micheline Presle is no longer physically here, her presence is more powerful than ever. She left a void that has yet to be filled.
